USS Pompano was mistakenly bombed by aircraft from USS Enterprise but managed to escape.

Oh yeah. These kinds of incidents are quite common even in modern war, let alone back then.

USS Tang pictured above, was an ace US submarine… until she literally sank herself with a circular running torpedo.

Why have feminists not demanded that females be required to register with the selective service? Are female lives more precious than male lives?
